Hey, I'm back! It's been a while since I last updated this space but nonetheless, lets get on to today's post :)
So, yesterday (24.03.14) I went cafe hopping with Asyiqin. We didn't really went to many cafes because most of them were closed on Monday. :( (Lesson learnt - Do not go cafe hopping on a Monday) Nevertheless, we had a great time :)
The first cafe we went to was Drury Lane. It is located at Tanjong Pagar Rd. It is a bit far from the mrt station and we ended up getting lost. However, the experience there is amazing! We didn't really try the main dishes but, we tried the cake. It was simply mouthwatering and the amount they served was just nice :) The downside, however, is that it was hot inside. It was hotter inside than outside. I was sweating like a mad cow but I didn't care because the atmosphere was so great! No wonder it was crowded.....
I forgot to mention that we tried the Carrot Cake and the Chocolate Glazed Caked which was their special for that day. It was delicious and it's as if the sweetness of the cake exploded in my mouth! PS. Did I mention that almost all their staffs were extremely cute :-) :-) :-)
Next, we went to Cake Spade. Cake Spade is located near Drury Lane so, we did not have to walk that far to find it. It is very easy to find too. :) I was not feeling the urge to eat something sweet because of all the sweetness from my meal at Drury Lane. Hence, I went for something citrus - Lemon Tart. Hmmmm. how should I say this? The Lemon Tart was sort of ok, it was not really that extraordinary... Maybe, I'm just not a fan of tarts. //shrugs// However, the drinks they sold were amazing. They sold Arizona Tea Bottles in so many flavors. If you don't know what Arizona is, it's a tea brand produced in USA and rarely found in Singapore. I learned about Arizona through many youtubers! (Eg. Bethany from Macbarbie07) I got the Lemon Tea while Asyiqin got the White Tea with Blueberry. Both of them were splendid. I would recommend this to tea lovers! Anyway, moving on to the design - it is extremely fine. It is beautiful. It is modern with an atmosphere that a cafe should have. It is art. Although it is beautiful, it is too small! I believe it could only fit less than 15 people... Well, that's a bummer.
Even though it was small and the tart was not that good, I still had a great time! :) Next, we went to Island Creamery located at Holland Village. I know it's not a cafe but I heard it was good and I really wanted to try out their ice-cream! So, I did and it was amazing! They sold Teh Tarik ice-cream. How cool is that?! I got the Teh Tarik ice-cream of course and also, the Soursop ice-cream. I know the combination is a bit weird.... but still. Asyiqin got their mudpie and it was delicious. The downside, however, is that it was so hard to find it! The place felt like it did not fit and the atmosphere is horrible. I believe it's only that outlet with that kind of atmosphere....
Well, that was all the places we visited. :) After that, we spotted a good place and did a little bit of a photoshoot. Hehehehe, so perasan (oops). After our mini photoshoot, we headed for Orchard because I wanted to drop by Innisfree. Innisfree is a korean skin wellness and makeup brand which uses ingredients from Jeju Island. Their endorser is Lee Min Ho!! It used to be only in Korea but now, it has come all the way to Singapore! Obviously, I must go. So, on the way there, I don't know what was going on but there was a huge sale at ION Orchard. Pull&Bear was having a sale and I've always wanted something from them. So, I ran inside :-) :-) :-) ((((typicalatikah)))) However, I only got one clothing from them because I wanted to shop at Innisfree... But I got something nonetheless! Then, there was a sale at H&M but I didn't buy anything :((( Finally, headed for Innisfree and spent alot over there! I spent over $90 on makeup and skin care..... but it's ok. ^^ I also applied for membership and got a lot of samples! Hehehe, I was damn elated. Anyway, this will be it for now! Bye! :)
